This old Gentleman (50 to 55)...er, young man, behind Alices head with the finger of a White Gloved Hand touching his Lips, is giving the quintessential, very Human sign, for, "Shhhhhhh! There's a story here we shouldn't tell...but..."
However, the primary message in this image is buried in the very existence of a Tableau/Mosaic/Cartoon on Mars:
"We're Human, too. Let's talk."
I believe this is, probably, Alice's Lover. There are two young men pictured above, and, of the two, he seems ecstatic, thrilled, as if he's just heard something he didn't expect, and, is overjoyed at the revelation. Maybe, he's just been identified as the Father.
This young man seems shocked, betrayed, his eyes gaping in surprise, and, there appears to be a puff of breath just in front of his Mouth and Nose, as if someone sucker-punched him in a very sensitive spot...the untold story?
The question is: Why are they so ecstatically happy? The images above contain at least one answer. Not only is there, "Life on Mars" (as we know it), but, "New Life on Mars." Represented by what I originally thought was a little, American Greetings Card/Hallmark style, "Winged Phallus," touching her Pregnant Belly, which (now) seems to scream, symbolically:
"It's a Boy!"

I've been looking at this Picture for a long time, and, eventually learned to read the expression on Alice's Face. It's a strange look, full of joy, ecstasy, pride, and, at the same time, contrition. I've also reached the conclusion this expression, is (at one and the same time), an announcement...something that might read:
"...Now that I've confessed..."
I wondered why Richard Fusniak (aka, "Fuzzy," who did the colorized crop on the right, above) added a Lock of Hair to her Coiffure that covered the right Eye, and, colored her face so opaguely that it effectively erased the left Eye, but, I think I see now, it's a Negative Image. Her Eyes must have really looked strange...white and glaring.
Taken as a whole, the image can be nothing but a product of intelligent design...an attempt to communicate an idea. The only idea I can imagine is to demonstrate that they are uniquely Human...in their looks, anatomy, humor, and, human nature (well, apart from apparently having two Knees on each Leg, and, hoofs). I guess the only remaining question is, who is this 'Sculpted/ Painted Tableau' directed toward...Peers? Or, possibly, a more dangerous audience, us.
These images are the foundation of a quest I've accepted, deliberately usurped, I'm trying to save a Planet (a populated Planet, Mars), from the tender mercies of our blundering, bemused Scientific Community. Bemused by their "carved in Stone" beliefs, they continue to blunder along planning things that might kill people living on what 'they' consider a "dead Planet" (i.e. - Crash a Water/Ice Comet onto the Surface to provide a Water Source for future Colonists, and, attempt to force a change in the enviroment that is more conducive to our brand of Human Life...in short, Terraforming).
To paraphrase Samuel Clements (aka - Mark Twain):
"It is the height of arrogant egotism to assume that God would create something,
as vast and wonderful as the Universe, for the visual edification of a small band
of savages, living on a speck of dust, circling a grain of sand...in a backwater
corner of His infinite masterpiece."
This 'arrogance' is "mine enemy," and, as a thinking Human Being (as opposed to a 'programmed idiot' calling him/herself a "Scientist"), it's my duty to fight for the rights of Man, even should they be living on a Planet other than Earth, and (to us), seemingly totally Alien.
I've studied the works of most authors following the trail of the "Ancient Astronauts," and, what I'm finding on Mars almost perfectly matches the works and discoveries of Zecharia Sitchin, chronicled in his series of books, beginning with "The 12th Planet," and, culminating in, "The Lost Book of Enki" (the ancient, "Creator God," worshipped by almost all ancient societies and religions). I have no doubt who's on Mars, how they got there, and, what will happen if we (our bemused scientific community) are stupid enough to, "kick a dead Leopard, to see if it's really dead."
Love...the adventure of sharing a life...making a Life...the creation/procreation
'of a Life' are common bonds amongst the many, far flung Races of Man.
This Image bears witness that Mars is no different. There 'are' no enemies... anywhere, except those we make through callous, determined ignorance, greed, or, blind ambition.
Beware of Peacemakers in Combat Boots. for they above all will ruin the world.

The tiny crop on the near left is a very unusual thing, a Human Phallus held in the left hand (with Testicles attached), as you or I would pick up a Puppy or Kitten...(Symbolic of Pregnancy? Gender?)
This is not an unusual symbol in Matriarchal Societies, and, can be found among existing cultures in the Far East, India and Bangladesh specifically, as well as Tibet and Mongolia. The ancient "Societi Provencal" of Southern France was a Matriarchal Society, based on the Mother Goddess Religion (Temple of Diana, etc.).
The Images on this Page are taken from the Non-Mapped GIF of MOC #0403440, about halfway down. This is a huge image that takes a long time to download, and, the first thing you will find, besides "Death Valley," is a huge "Face in the Fungus" (see Link above) with a peculiar artistic feature: it has the illusion of motion created by a Double-False Eye that (depending on your point of focus) twists and looks down at the following montage of figures in Henry's Crater, on the surface of Mars.
There are those who are blind, and, those who will not see. May it please the Lord, if I must choose, grant me wisdom...and I'll never be blind.
1. Focus on the top of the 'Golden Pipe Elbow' used as an Artificial Eye by the bearded profile on the right...and, he / it (the Face) glares to the left.
2. Focus on the bottom of the Golden Pipe Elbow, and, it seems to shift, lean over, and, look down at Alice and friends, about two full screens below (in the original Image).
3. Click on the picture to see the original, in "Malin Space Science Systems" (NASA's), Narrow Angle Camera Image Gallery.
Somehow, considering that I've found the same face, "Horus, the One-Eyed god," in other places with the same aritificial Eye, I believe this 'artistic device' may, in fact, have represented a functioning device.
